Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes

These Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes are seriously the easiest mashed potatoes I have ever made! This will definitely be the only way I make them now.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb Russet Potatoes peeled and quartered
  • 3 cups Water
  • 4 cloves Garlic peeled and left whole
  • Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • 1/2 stick Butter
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Broth
  • Dried Parsley

Instructions

  1. Add Potatoes and Garlic to Instant Pot
  2. Add just enough water to cover potatoes, around 3 cups
  3. Add a generous pinch of Sea Salt
  4. Place lid on Instant Pot and set to high pressure for 12 minutes
  5. When finished turn valve to quick release
  6. Drain any remaining liquid and place Potatoes and Garlic back into Instant Pot
  7. Use a Potato masher to mash until smooth
  8. Add in Butter and Vegetable Broth, stir until desired texture
  9. If you want it more smooth then add more Broth
  10. Add Salt, Pepper, and Parsley to taste
  11. Enjoy!

Notes

It takes roughly 10 minutes for the Instant Pot to build up pressure before the cooking timer starts.
