Is it possible to make Gluten Free Brownies that taste amazing? Hmmm…… The answer is YES!!!
These are seriously The Best Gluten Free Brownies. They are ooey gooey chocolatey bites of heaven. You would never even guess they are Gluten Free!
In case you’ve noticed, I don’t have a ton of desserts on my blog. It’s not because I don’t like dessert, don’t get me wrong. But since going Gluten Free a few years ago, I just found it challenging to make Gluten Free desserts hold up the same way as regular desserts.
I’ve experimented a little here and there and have had plenty of fails, like the time I made chocolate chip cookies. I went to pick one of them up off of the pan and it completely fell apart in my hand. There were cookie parts everywhere, the floor, the counter, under the cupboards… (sigh).
So one day I decided to try one of my mom’s old recipes which was always a no fail-go to recipe in our house, and convert it into a Gluten Free version.
I substituted Almond Flour for the regular flour. And guess what? It all held together!
I made a few other modifications to the recipe as well.
I used Truvia white sugar instead of regular sugar. With Truvia you only need about half of the amount as you would with regular sugar. Truvia is a natural sweetener made from the stevia leaf. (No I’m not getting paid to say this, I just love using their product).
I also replaced the vegetable oil with Coconut Oil. I use Coconut Oil in almost everything I bake or cook with. Coconut Oil is a true “superfood”. It has a particular type of saturated fat called ‘medium chain triglycerides’ or (MCTs), which are easily digested and readily burned for energy, much like simple carbohydrates give you a boost in energy, but without the spike in blood sugar.
Plus the flavor you get from the Coconut Oil tastes so much better and makes these brownies super moist.
Ok let’s get into making these brownies!
Basically you just dump all of the ingredients into a large bowl, except the chocolate chips. No need to separate dry ingredients, etc.
Stir until everything is blended together.
Add the batter to a greased 9×9 baking pan.
Sprinkle the Chocolate Chips on top and pop it in the oven.
Here’s what I love about these Brownies.
- They are easy to make, this is really a no-fail recipe.
- They are Gluten Free.
- They are super moist (sorry if you hate that word, but they are!)
- They have a rich chocolatey taste.
- They are a crowd favorite, always the first to go at a party.
If you try this and love this as much as I do, show some love and leave a comment below and rate it – it’s really helpful for me and other readers. 🙂
And don’t forget to take a picture and Hashtag it #Tastefulventure on Instagram so I can see!
Cheers!

I was looking forward to making these brownies as they sounded great & I had worked with these various ingredients before. I followed the recipe & made the necessary adjustments to my oven, so I wouldn’t overcook them. I don’t know what happened, but they were extremely dry & cake like. I have not used that much Stevia powder in one recipe before so I felt it had a strange taste. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review, so am curious how this recipe turned out for others.

If you used Stevia powder and not Truvia, which is a blend of cane sugar and Stevia, then no wonder you had a problem.
