This Homemade Caesar Salad Dressing is super easy to make and honestly I think it tastes way better than any store bought dressing I’ve had!

Homemade Caesar Salad Dressing being spooned up

If you have never made your own homemade Caesar salad dressing, then you are in for a real treat!

I try and make my own salad dressing from scratch whenever I can. Mainly because that way I know exactly what goes into it. I mean have you ever tried reading some of the ingredients on salad dressings?

I have a rule, if I can’t pronounce the ingredient then it’s not going into my body. There’s just way too many chemicals and artificial stuff that goes into foods these days.

Another reason I make my own is because I can make only the amount I need. That way nothing goes to waste. I can’t tell you how many half empty bottles of dressings I’ve had to toss out that expired before I could use them. Ugh!

Here’s the skinny on what you need on hand to make this Caesar dressing:

  • 1 large Garlic Clove
  • 4–6 Anchovies plus more for topping if desired
  • 2 Tbs fresh Lemon Juice (approximately 1 Lemon)
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan
  • 1/4 cup EVOO

In a small food processor add Garlic, Anchovies, Lemon Juice, Dijon, 1/2 tsp Salt, 1/2 tsp Pepper, 1/2 cup Parmesan, and 1/4 cup EVOO.

Blend until smooth, taste and add more salt or pepper if desired. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Try this dressing in my Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad!

Wicked good dressing, I’ve made it several times. My friends love it too!!! Instead of croutons I added walnuts for crunch.
