I love a good BLT. In fact there was one summer where I had them almost every single day. Seriously. I could literally eat a whole pound of bacon in one sitting. Ok maybe that wasn’t one of my best moments, don’t judge! 😛
Since going Gluten Free, I thought my BLT days were over. (insert sad face) Ok so BLT days are back, YES! But without the bread for a Gluten Free version!
I decided to substitute regular bacon with turkey bacon for a more healthy salad. I have to admit I’ve always been nervous about buying Turkey Bacon. I’ve heard too many stories about what parts of the turkey actually go into turkey bacon. Well anyway I was at my local health foods store and found some turkey bacon that was all natural turkey breast made into bacon, and hormone free of course.
After trying this new turkey bacon, wowza! I’m a changed foodie! 🙂
This turkey bacon was grease free, super meaty, and tasted amazing!
If you try this salad, I suggest you also try the Dairy Free Ranch Dressing to go on top of it. Trust me, it’s soooo delicious with this salad!

Skinny BLT Salad with Turkey Bacon

- Cook Time: 10 mins
- Total Time: 15 mins

- 1 8 oz package Romaine Lettuce chopped into bite size pieces
- 1 pint Grape Tomatoes sliced in half
- 1/2 pound Turkey Bacon
- In large frying pan cook turkey bacon over medium heat until done, around 5-10 minutes.
- In large bowl add lettuce, tomato, and bacon.
- Top with Dairy Free Ranch Dressing.
