I love a good Green Smoothie. The trick to making a really good Green Smoothie is to not make it taste green… wait… what? What I mean is, even though there’s lots of good healthy greens in it, you can’t taste it. All you really taste is the fruit!

So every sip is smooth, creamy, and delicious!

How was your weekend? Ok I know it’s Tuesday, but I’ve been completely knocked out for the last 2 days. I was glutenized! For anyone that has a gluten sensitivity you all know what I mean.

Saturday started out great, went kayaking with a group of friend at Silver Springs Park, FL. If you’ve never been here, I highly recommend it! Do you remember the 1950s movie Tarzan? Well they filmed that movie here, and brought a bunch of monkeys in for it.

After the movie filming ended, the monkeys stayed. So this is the only place in Florida where you can see monkeys in the wild! Cool huh! If you follow my Instagram live stories then I’m sure you saw all of the cute little monkeys swinging from the trees. 🙂

We even saw a few Gators! I stay far away from them in the kayak… they’re usually just perched on a log near shore anyway. I guess as long as you don’t tip over in your kayak you’re safe right? At least that’s what I keep telling myself.

Anyway, so after kayaking 4 hours and 5 miles later (still sore btw) we were all completely famished. sometimes when I’m hungry or ‘hangry’ as I like to call it, I don’t exactly make the best food decisions.

We went to this cool local Mexican restaurant where I proceeded to order everything off the menu. Ok not really, but I wanted to. I almost always get Fish Tacos, so I asked the waitress if they came with corn tortillas, which she assured me they did. When they came they didn’t look or taste like corn tortillas. Of course I didn’t realize this until they were half gone. Oops. At that point I was like ‘Get in my Belly!’

Sunday I woke up in a haze… this is what I call being glutenized. It seriously felt like I was drugged, I was in a hazy stuper all day. I was so tired, I could barely get off the couch. Plus my stomach felt like it had a basketball in it, ugh. It was bad.

Usually when this happens I’m out of it for like 5 days. So I decided to kick this out of my system as fast as I could by making this Mango Banana Green Smoothie.

I’ve seriously been just drinking Smoothies, Juices, and Kombucha for the last 2 days. Oh and eating Kimchi. These are all great for flushing out the system!

Day 3 and I’m feeling better already! I actually have energy to get out and do stuff again, Hello World!
