These Smoked Salmon Avocado Dill Crostini appetizers are so easy to make and are so tasty! This is a hit at any party!
You guys… seriously… this has to be my new favorite appetizer!
If you’ve been following the blog for awhile then you know I’m a HUGE Salmon lover. I think I eat it at least once a week.
I’m always looking for new ways to incorporate Salmon into my recipes, so I thought I’d try something new and make a tasty appetizer with some Smoked Salmon!
What I didn’t realize until after I moved to Florida, was that Smoked Salmon is not found in every grocery store like it was back in Minnesota. (FYI – if you can’t find it in a store near you, there’s always Amazon).
Which makes total sense because, the majority of people that live in Minnesota come from a Scandinavian background (including myself, don’t cha know ← insert Minnesota accent). And the majority of us Scandinavians loooove Salmon, especially Smoked Salmon.
Well I walked into Sprouts the other day, which is one of my favorite grocery stores in Sarasota, and was searching everywhere for Smoked Salmon… none to be found. I couldn’t believe it. So I went up to the meat counter and asked them if they had any, and they looked at me like I had three heads. Ummm yeah “Hi, I’m not originally from here”. 😛
Then I went to my local Publix… nope… no Smoked Salmon. 🙁
So long story short, I ended up driving to Whole Foods which is on the other side of town, and they had a whole section of all different kinds of Smoked Salmon. I’m so in love!
Also, if you’re not familiar with Smoked Salmon, it comes in different flavors as well as texture. For this recipe I opted for the plain Smoked Salmon, and thinly sliced. But you can use whatever kind is your favorite. 🙂
I also picked up my favorite gluten free baguettes from Schar to make the crostini.
Then I whipped up a super delicious Avocado Dill sauce to top the crostini with. OMG. I could eat this sauce on everything!!!
Topped the sauce with Smoked Salmon, then added more Dill for garnish. Wow. Just Wow.
I hope you guys love this Smoked Salmon Avocado Dill Crostini as much as I did! It’s:
- Easy to make
- Full of flavor
- Gluten Free
- Refreshing
- and is Perfect for any party
