This Low Carb Taco Turkey Burger Bowl is so flavorful and filling! Placed on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes and topped with Guacamole for the win!
Don’t get me wrong, I love carbs but I do try to balance it out. I like to throw in a lot of low carb meals throughout the week. I find it gives me a lighter feeling and I don’t get so bloated.
I got the idea of burger bowls from a local restaurant that I go to. I find that burger bowls are totally filling and satisfying for me.
But hey if you want to put this on a bun, then go for it! 🙂
I used my Homemade Taco Seasoning for these Turkey Burgers which consists of:
- 1 Tbs Chili Powder
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/4 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Ground Sea Salt
- 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
In a large bowl add the ground Turkey and all of the ingredients for the Taco Seasoning. Mix well and form into 4 patties.
Let the patties rest in the fridge on a platter while you make the guacamole.
In a medium bowl add 4 ripe Avocados, 3 cloves minced Garlic, and juice from 1 Lime. Mash the Avocados with a fork until desired consistency. Add Salt and Pepper to taste.
Preheat grill to med/high heat about 400F. Place Turkey patties on the grill and cook 3-5 minutes each side or until internal temp is 165F. Remove from grill and let rest 5 minutes.
Add Lettuce, Tomatoes and Turkey Burgers to each bowl. Top with a scoop of Guacamole and proceed to chow down on all this deliciousness!
