This Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich is seasoned to perfection! I created the right amount of seasoning to coat the fish with before cooking. It’s seriously way better than any Blackened Mahi I’ve had in a restaurant!

This is one of my favorite fish to eat whenever I go out to eat here in Florida. I always order it blackened, because I love the spice.
However the majority of restaurants don’t have gluten free bread, so I can never get it on a sandwich. So I decided to create my own version at home!
I used Schar Ciabatta, which so far is the only gluten free Ciabatta I’ve found and it’s super good!

For the blackened seasoning I combined some Paprika, Cayenne, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Oregano, Salt and Pepper.
Then spread mixture evenly over each Mahi Mahi fillet coating all sides. Add Coconut Oil to a large cast iron skillet and heat on med/high heat.
When oil is melted and shimmering add Mahi Mahi fillets.
Cook 4 minutes each side or until cooked all the way through (cook time can vary by the thickness of each fillet).

You can add whatever topping and condiments you choose. I topped with sliced Avocado, shredded Red Cabbage, some Mayo, and of course a squirt of Lime Juice!
Every bite of this sandwich was OH SO SAVORY!
I will definitely be making this more often at home and eating out less.
