Ok you guys, I am totally in love with this new Blueberry Oatmeal Smoothie I made today! This smoothie tastes just like it sounds, it’s thick and creamy, and full of oaty-blueberry goodness! (Is oaty a word? My spell checker keeps trying to change it, but I kinda dig the word oaty. 🙂 )
I bought a big bag of Gluten Free Oats to try. Honestly I can’t tell the difference in taste. This seriously tastes like your drinking a bowl of blueberry oatmeal. Which is perfect on this hot summer day in Florida (it’s like 100 degrees out). Because who the heck wants to eat hot oatmeal when it’s 100 degrees outside?! Ummm not me!
This smoothie is packed with nutrition too, I used Flaxseed meal for a little fiber boost, Dates for a little sweetness, Almond Butter for a little nutty flavor, Oats for the oaty taste and to make it a little thicker, Almond Milk because it is great for making super yummy smoothies, and of course Blueberries. 🙂

- 1 cup Blueberries
- ¼ cup Almond Butter
- 2 Dates pitted
- ½ cup Oats (Gluten Free)
- 1 Tbs ground Flaxseed meal
- 1½ cup Almond Milk
- Add all ingredients to blender, blend until smooth.
