Hey guys, I’m super excited about todays post and not just because it’s about food. 😛 Even though I’m still super excited about this Spicy Peanut Sauce that I have been eating everyday for lunch with my salads and wraps (more of those recipes are coming). 🙂
But today I’m really excited because I just got a new camera, as in a REAL camera! Believe it or not I have never owned a camera like this. You see, I have been taking every single picture with my iPhone. Yes, I know, not really professional for a food/travel blog. But hey, they say the best camera is the one you have on you right?! Ok so even though I loved my iPhone, I just couldn’t get the pictures the way I really wanted them to appear for my food/travel blog. I follow a few other food bloggers out there and saw what they recommended for cameras (or the cameras they use), wholly molly batman – ummm still in sticker shock! Ok I was not about to spend thousands of dollars on a camera, well not yet anyway. So I did some research and here’s what I got: Canon Rebel T5 DSLR Camera with EF-Ss 18-55mm IS II & 75-300mm Zoom Lens(note – yes this is an affiliate link to Amazon, I only recommend brands I use and trust, and using my links helps support what I do). I am totally in love with this camera! It is light, really easy to use, and is perfect for beginning photographers (like me). 🙂

Ok so let’s get into this Spicy Peanut Sauce recipe!
Here’s what I love about this Spicy Peanut Sauce:
-It’s homemade, so no bad stuff you can’t pronounce is in this.
-It has a coconut/peanut flavor (I used coconut peanut butter).
-You can put in as much spice as you can handle!
-It has a creamy texture and you can make it as thick or thin as you want.
-Last but not least, it’s super simple to make! 🙂

- ½ cup Coconut Peanut Butter (you can use regular peanut butter too)
- 2 Tbs Tamari (Gluten Free Soy Sauce)
- 2 Tbs Honey
- 2 Tbs Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp Sweet Red Chili Sauce (you can add more if you like it spicier)
- 1 Tbs Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp grated Ginger
- juice from 1 Lime
- Whisk together all ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
- Enjoy as a dressing for salads, or a dipping sauce for your favorite Asian dish!
- This makes about 1 cup.
