Back to school time is here! This Cinnamon Turmeric Smoothie is so creamy and delicious. It makes breakfast on these busy mornings so easy!
I still can’t believe school has started already, and that I officially have a high schooler now!
Wait.. what? Seriously where does the time go?! Seems like just yesterday he was beginning first grade. Make. Time. Stop.
Since Gavin is more of an adult now, I wanted to make a ‘grown up’ smoothie that we can both enjoy before I drive him off to school and start my work day.
Smoothies are perfect for these busy mornings, because if we don’t have time to drink them before we leave, we can always take them with us to drink in the car.
You could also even make these the night before and store them in to-go cups in the fridge for the next morning.
I prefer making my smoothies dairy free, so I usually use Silk® Almondmilk or Cashewmilk with Caramel Bottles.
Here’s why I like using this brand:
- There’s zero grams of sugar
- It’s a good source of cacium
- It’s cholesterol free
- No saturated fat
- It’s free of dairy, lactose, gluten, casein, egg and MSG
- Has no artificial colors
- Is Non-GMO (which is super important to me)
Plus these 4 packs make is super convenient because you don’t need to store them in the fridge (until they’re opened). And each bottle is a single serving, so you can just grab however many bottles you need to make your smoothie!
Sure you can also find great Silk® taste in your grocer’s refrigerator, but these 4 pack bottles are in the grocer’s shelf unrefrigerated section. I found these at Walmart in the shelf stable milk section of the store.
The 4 pack bottles have the same delicious taste, even though they don’t need to be refrigerated. However I like to chill mine before drinking.
For this recipe I chose the Silk® to give this smoothie a hint of Vanilla flavoring along with the Cinnamon and Turmeric flavors.
I hope you love this Cinnamon Turmeric Smoothie as much as we do! It’s:
Creamy
Comforting
Turmeric + Cinnamon infused
Slightly spicy
and so Delicious!

Thanks so much for your feedback Alicia! So glad you liked this:)
Ginny
Is there any other fruit I can use in place of the dates? Just looking for possibilities.
Sara
You could use dried figs as well to add a bit of sweetness.
Terry
Just made this. Omitted milk and substituted it with water & ice cubes. Also added natural peanut butter.
Very yummy !
Sara
Glad you liked it Terry, thanks for the feedback!
