This Healthy Chocolate Avocado Smoothie has only 5 ingredients and is so delicious! This will be your new favorite go-to smoothie for breakfast or a snack!

So with this Chocolate Avocado Smoothie, I’ve combined my love for chocolate and my love for creating a healthy smoothie to go with that craving.

Chocolate Avocado Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1/2 Avocado pitted and scooped out.
  • 1 frozen Banana
  • 2 Tbs Raw Cacao or cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbs Honey

Chocolate Avocado Smoothie

This smoothie is full with super foods. Avocados have almost 20 nutrients and minerals in them, which makes them some sort of a super food. It’s a good healthy fat to have in your diet.

Cacao Powder is loaded with flavonoids, which are shown to help lower blood pressure and improve blood flow to the heart and brain.

How to Make a Chocolate Avocado Smoothie

  1. Add the Almond Milk, Banana, Avocado, Cacao Powder and Honey to a blender.
  2. Blend until Smooth
  3. Serve and enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to use Almond Milk for this recipe?

You can use whatever your favorite milk is, such as regular dairy, coconut milk, cashew milk, etc.

Do I have to use a frozen Banana?

No, but freezing it first makes this smoothie nice and cold. If you don’t have time to freeze the banana you can add a few ice cubes and blend with it to make it colder.

Can I use frozen Avocado in a Smoothie?

Yes, this will make the smoothie thicker so you may need to add a little more milk.

Can you make Smoothies ahead of time?

Absolutely! You can make these the night before and store in the fridge for the next day. I recommend to drink it within 24 hours for maximum nutrition and flavor.

Can you taste Avocados in Smoothies?

No, with the flavors of everything else it tastes like a rich chocolate smoothie.

    Made these tonight for my 4 yr old & me. I ended up having to use 2% milk & added some ground flaxseed. I enjoyed the flavor & creamy consistency. My son is always asking me to make him chocolate smoothies – he loved it!
