We’re powering up this morning with a natural energizing juice! I know, I know, it has a corny title, but let’s just go with it ok?  This juice is perfect for when you need that extra boost of energy.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow Chard Juice

I got on a juicing kick a few years back. I discovered how great fresh juices were and all of the great health benefits they have after I watched Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. If you haven’t seen this yet, I highly recommend watching this.

It totally changed the way I view food and discovered the affects it has on your body. The more good foods I put in to my body, the better I look and feel.

Yes I still have indulgences once in a while, but every thing in moderation, right?! Everything balances out.

If you’re new to juicing there are several juicers to choose from out there. There’s even high powered blenders like the Vitamix that will blend up veggies and turn them into a juice.

I did a lot of research before I purchased my juicer. I ended up getting a mid-priced one called the Omega J8004 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer.

I’ve been using this for almost 3 years now and I absolutely love it. It’s super easy to use and is dishwasher safe.

Alright let’s talk about all of the goodness that goes into this juice!

First I just want to say that when juicing you should always try to buy Organic fruit and veggies when you can. There are just so many chemicals sprayed onto foods these days, you don’t want to be ingesting chemicals right?!

Ok, so Rainbow Chard is the base of this juice.

Rainbow Chard is full of Vitamin K, A, and C, as well as magnesium, potassium, iron, and fiber.

Then there’s Cucumber, Carrots, Ginger, and an Apple. Apples give green juices a bit of a sweet flavor so it’s not so intense.

This is pure natural energy bliss!

Cheers!
