I’ve been drinking regular Green Tea for about three years now. I had to give up coffee because I was starting to have bad reactions to it. Coffee would make me all jittery and it felt like my heart was racing a million miles an hour.
When I switched to Green Tea, I was able to get enough caffeine without the jitteriness.
Then this last year, a friend of mine introduced me to Matcha Green Tea Powder.
Whoa! This stuff is the bomb!
I can’t even begin to explain how I feel when I drink Matcha Green Tea, other then I feel absolutely AMAZING! 🙂
I started experimenting with Matcha Green Tea Powder by adding it into my morning smoothies, like this Detox Matcha Banana Kale Smoothie.
It’s really great in smoothies, it kind of adds a bit of an extra sweetness to them.
For this smoothie I started with:
Matcha Green Tea Powder
and a frozen Banana
The flavors of everything just blend so well together!
It has a hint of sweetness, it’s rich and creamy, and the added Mint Leaves make this smoothie totally refreshing!

Blueberry Matcha Mint Smoothie

- Cuisine: Dairy Free, Gluten Free
- 1 cup Coconut Milk
- 1 handful of Blueberries
- 6–8 Mint Leaves
- 1 tsp Matcha Green Tea Powder
- 1 frozen Banana
- Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend for 30 seconds until smooth.
