Ok you guys, so I made my first Marinara Sauce ever! Seriously, if you would’ve told me 2 years ago that I’d be making my own marinara sauce I would’ve laughed while opening up a can of store bought marinara sauce to pour over my spaghetti.
Well within the last 2 years the way I’ve been looking at food has totally changed. I went Gluten Free, yes. But I also try to avoid foods with GMO’s, or foods basically made from junk. Because for me, eating food that is made with all kinds of chemicals and junk = me feeling sick and bloated. There’s a saying “if you can’t pronounce the ingredients, don’t eat it”!
So anyways, this brings me back to this 15 Minute Marinara Sauce I made today.
You guys…this is Super easy to make! So easy, in fact you may never buy a jar of marinara sauce again from the store!
Oh yeah, and if you want to make a bigger batch, this freezes for up to 3 months! And did I mention you only need to use 1 pan to make this?! I don’t know about you, but I do not like doing dishes. 🙂
This 15 Minute Marinara Sauce is not only super easy to make, but it requires less dishes, and is healthy.

15 Minute Marinara Sauce
- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Cook Time: 15 mins
- Total Time: 20 mins
- Yield: 4-6 1x
- Category: Appetizer
- Cuisine: Gluten Free
- 2 Tbs Olive Oil
- 6 Garlic cloves minced
- 1 28 oz can crushed Tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper flakes
- 1 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt, you can use any kind of salt
- 1/4 tsp Oregano
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Thyme
- 5–10 large Basil leaves chopped
- In large saute pan over high heat add olive oil and garlic
- Cook about 1 minute
- Add tomatoes and seasonings
- Add basil leaves
- Reduce heat to med-low
- Simmer about 15 minutes until thickened
- Note: You can store this in the fridge for around 5 days or freeze up to 3 months
- Makes 2 1/2 cups
