Fettuccine Alfredo with Ham and Peas

Pasta is my favorite go-to meal when I want something super savory and easy to make. I love it because it’s so versatile.

Since Easter is coming up and I’m sure a lot of you may be wondering what to do with all that leftover ham, so I decided to create this yummy pasta dish just for that!

Fettuccine Alfredo with Ham and Peas

Here’s what you need to make this:

  • 6 oz Fettuccini (I used gluten free)
  • 1/2 stick of Butter (1/4 cup)
  • 1 Clove minced Garlic
  • 1 cup cooked cubed Ham
  • 1 cup frozen Peas
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 3/4 cup Grated Parmesan
  • Pepper to taste
  • Salt for the pasta water

Now let’s get into making this!

Cook pasta as directed on package. Make sure you reserve some of the pasta water to use if you need more sauce. I usually scoop out about a cup with one of my glass measuring cups and set it aside.

Now this doesn’t mean I use the whole cup of water, I just like to have extra set aside and if I don’t use it all I can just pour it in the sink.

In a large frying pan add butter and heat over medium heat. When butter starts to bubble add garlic and sauté 1 minute. Add in Ham, Peas, Pepper and Heavy Whipping Cream.

Stir it often as it starts to bubble and thicken (about 5 minutes), if too bubbly turn heat down. Add in Parmesan and stir until sauce is thickened.

Now add the cooked noodles and cook 1-2 minutes. (If you want more sauce after adding in the noodles, pour in a little bit at a time of the pasta water).

Then proceed to chow down on all of this deliciousness!
