If you guys love easy peasy meals, then you are totally going to love this one!
There is very little prep work involved with this recipe. Basically you just have to chop up a few veggies, cook the rice, and then just add everything to your bowls!
You can even cook the rice the night before to save on time.
Now you can use any type of rice you prefer. But I recommend using Sushi Rice for this.
Sushi Rice will have a more sticky texture, and when combined with the NAKANO® Rice Vinegar and sugar mixture, it really gives this a unique delicious sort of sweet flavor!
Just cook the Sushi Rice as directed on the package. Once it’s fully cooked, add NAKANO® Rice Vinegar (I used the Natural Organic one) and sugar to a small bowl. Microwave it for 30 – 60 seconds until the sugar is dissolved. Then pour it over the rice and mix well. Let the rice cool before combining the rest of the ingredients.
I have been using NAKANO® Rice Vinegars on a variety of dishes lately (pssst more yummy recipes to come!) There are seven delicious and tangy varieties, you can purchase any of the NAKANO Rice Vinegars clean-label and organic offerings at Kroger, Publix and Walmart nationwide.
It’s been my go-to condiment as of lately. It’s perfect for helping create healthier meals, especially after I totally indulged over the Holidays. You can splash on any of the NAKANO Seasoned Rice Vinegars as a savory, low-calorie alternative to high-fat dressings, marinades, oils or butter. Win Win!
