This Blackened Shrimp Cobb Salad is loaded with so much flavor. It’s topped with a homemade Creamy Lemon Dressing that is super easy to make and makes this dish so savory!
To me there’s nothing better than a loaded salad with fresh veggies and some sort of seafood. I could literally eat salad every single day of the week.
I used my own homemade Blackened Seasoning for the Shrimp which is better than any store bought I’ve had and is super simple to make.
I’ve used it to make Flank Steak Tacos, Shrimp Quinoa Salad, Chicken Caesar Salad, and so many other yummy recipes. You can always type in “Blackened” in the search field on Tastefulventure.com to find all of them.
Shrimp Cobb Salad Ingredients
For the Blackened Seasoning:
- 2 Tbs ground Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp ground Cayenne
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp dried Oregano
- 2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
Note that you won’t need all of the seasoning for this recipe. I like to make a batch and store it in a small mason jar with a lid. I keep it in my spice cupboard for whenever I want something blackened.
For the Salad:
- 1/2 lb Fresh or Frozen Large Shrimp
- 2 Heads Romain Lettuce chopped
- 5 Hard Boiled Eggs chopped
- 1 Pint Cherry or Grape Tomatoes
- 1 English Cucumber sliced
- 3 Avocados chopped
- 1/4 of a Red Onion sliced into thin half moon strips
- 6-8 Slices of Thick Cut Bacon
- Feta Cheese
For the Salad Dressing:
- 1 Lemon Zested and Juiced
- 1 Garlic clove minced
- 1/2 tsp White Vinegar
- 1/4 cup EVOO
- 1/4 cup Mayo
- Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
How to Make Shrimp Cobb Salad
Start by mixing together all ingredients for the Blackened Seasoning and set aside. In a large skillet add Bacon and cook over medium heat until desired doneness. Remove Bacon and place on paper towels to absorb the grease, once cooked chop into pieces.
Peel and devein Shrimp, if you are using frozen Shrimp make sure they are thawed before starting. Pat Shrimp dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle enough Blackened Seasoning to coat all sides of the Shrimp.
In the same skillet with the bacon grease, heat over med/high and cook the Shrimp 3-4 minutes or until done, set aside.
To a large platter or bowl add Lettuce, Eggs, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Avocados, Red Onion, Bacon and sprinkle with desired amount of Feta Cheese.
Add the ingredients for the dressing to a small bowl and whisk until smooth. Pour dressing over salad and mix well.

Cooking Tips:
- If you want to save on time you can prep a lot of this ahead of time. You could make the Salad Dressing the day before and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
- You could also cook the Bacon the day before and store it in the fridge as well. And of course you can make the Blackened Seasoning whenever you like as I mentioned before.
